2025 Health Insurance Deadline Approaching

1/8/2025 9:15:00 AM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesotans who need health insurance for 2025 have one week remaining to sign up for a private health plan at MNsure.org. The deadline to enroll is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, for coverage that starts February 1.

MNsure is the only place Minnesotans can save money on their monthly premiums. This year, eligible households will save $560 per month, on average, when they sign up through MNsure and take advantage of all the financial help they qualify for.

“Don’t miss your chance to get the protection of comprehensive health insurance and access to discounts that could save your family thousands of dollars this year,” said MNsure CEO Libby Caulum. “After January 15, most Minnesotans will need a major life change like moving, getting married or having a baby to enroll in health insurance through MNsure.”

All plans sold through MNsure are guaranteed to cover a list of essential health benefits that includes prescription drugs, emergency services and preventive care like flu shots and cancer screenings. Plans that don’t provide comprehensive coverage can leave you at risk for high, unexpected medical costs when you get sick or need to go to a hospital.
